A chamber ensemble is a group of musicians of modest size that is dedicated to playing chamber music. The names of such ensembles often include references to their size (such as duo, trio or quartet) and/or to the types of instruments they play (such as string or brass), for example the Boston String Quartet or the Chicago Brass Quintet.
